In celebration of the 60th anniversary of the National Ballet
60 Artists and Designers were asked to create their own tutus.
In partnership with the TIFF bell lightbox, I was one of them!
During the TIFF Kids International Film Festival, young film enthusiasts and festival goers were asked to colour in clear 16mm film strips for me, which I then wired and styled into the final tutu.
The tutu is currently on display at TIFF (3rd floor) until mid-May of 2012. It will then join it’s other tutu friends in an exhibition at The Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts from June 13th-17th.
The Entire Tutu Project will then be unveiled in a public exhibition at
The Design Exchange July 13th – Sept 2 2012
